AspenConcierge Group Pre and Post provides personalized support to patients before and after medical procedures. We are here to assist in a supportive and stress free role. Here is a breakdown of responsibilities for both stages. Options are below if you are arriving from out of state, another location in Colorado, or are a local in the valley:
Pre-Operation Hospitality:
Logistics Management
- Discuss travel arrangements for incoming to ASE or other preferred airports
- Arrange transportation to and from the airport
- Research and locate recovery options according to patients desired space (hotel, studio, condo, house, rehab, *locations limited to the Roaring Fork Valley)
- Preparation for acclamation and altitude prior to arrival
- Retrofit living quarters to personalize and feel “at home”
- Review medical requirements and pre-order supplies needed for recovery (e.g., crutches, bedrails, walkers, wheelchairs)
Pre Operation Responsibilities:
Scheduling and Coordination
- Included on necessary medical emails for scheduling and insight of procedure
- Assist your teams with scheduling medical appointments
- Confirm with healthcare providers, surgeons, and specialists upon request
- Comprehensive notes in medical meetings as needed
Emotional Support
- Address patient concerns
- Offer resources for counseling or support groups
Post-Operation Services:
Updates from surgery/procedure
- Update family or designee pre and post surgery
- Coordinate discharge paperwork and receive a copy of aftercare instructions
- Local emergency contact
- Discharge assistance
Follow-Up Care:
- Confirm scheduled post-op appointments and physical therapy sessions
- Assist patients with scheduling medication and care regimens
- Notes for reference from medical meetings
Transportation:
Logistics and Accessibility
- Assist with home care arrangements: hiring a nurse or physical therapy appointments
- Arrange transportation to and from the facility
- Transportation as needed to and from appointments
Monitoring Recovery:
- Check in with patients to monitor recovery progress
- Act as a liaison between the patient and healthcare provider for ongoing concerns
Lifestyle Adjustments:
- Provide support with dietary changes or requests, mobility needs, or adapting the home environment
Emotional and Practical Support:
This role is crucial in ensuring that the patient feels supported, prepared, confident and safe during their medical journey
